Accessibility Statement

Denver Destiny Center — Destiny Community Development Center Inc.

Effective October 5, 2026

For review before publication: This Accessibility Statement is pending review by DCDC leadership before final publication. Accessibility is an ongoing effort; this statement reflects current commitments and known areas of work.

Our Commitment

Denver Destiny Center is committed to making its website, information and service-intake process accessible to people with disabilities. We are working to improve usability across devices, assistive technologies and different ways of accessing information.

Accessibility Standard

DCDC aims to support the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a reference standard for our website. We do not claim full WCAG certification. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to identify and address barriers as they are discovered.

Improvements We Are Pursuing

We are actively working to support the following accessibility practices across our website:

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable without a mouse.
  • Visible focus indicators — keyboard focus is visually apparent on all interactive elements.
  • Descriptive link text — links describe their destination or purpose rather than using generic phrases.
  • Image alternative text — meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked appropriately.
  • Color contrast — text and interactive elements aim to meet minimum contrast ratios for readability.
  • Text resizing and responsive layouts — content reflows and remains readable when text is enlarged or the viewport is narrow.
  • Form labels and error instructions — form fields include visible labels and clear error guidance.
  • Captions or transcripts — when important video or audio content is added to the site, we will work to provide captions or transcripts.
  • Reduced-motion support — animated content respects the user's reduced-motion preference where technically feasible.

Alternative Access to Services

If you experience difficulty using the website or completing an online form, contact Denver Destiny Center. We will work with you to provide the information or intake assistance through a reasonable alternative method.

Report an Accessibility Barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, we want to know. Please contact us and include the following information to help us respond effectively:

  • The web address (URL) of the page where you experienced the barrier.
  • The device and operating system you were using (for example, iPhone with iOS 17, Windows 11 laptop).
  • The browser or assistive technology you were using (for example, Chrome, Safari, NVDA, VoiceOver).
  • A description of the barrier and what you were trying to do.

We will review your report and respond as promptly as we are able. We cannot guarantee a specific response deadline, but we take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address confirmed barriers.
